Changing the Game Starts with Changing the Conversation: Emrah Kara Joins the Gaming Founders Circle

The gaming industry loves talking about innovation, but innovation doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when people challenge assumptions, question the status quo, and are willing to admit that maybe the way things have always been done isn’t the way they should be done.
That’s why initiatives like the Gaming Founders Circle matter.
Launched by Discord, Techleap, and the Dutch Games Association, the Circle brings together a cohort of founders from some of the Netherlands’ most exciting gametech companies to exchange experiences, learn from each other, and tackle the unique challenges of building in one of the world’s most dynamic industries.
Among them is our CEO and co-founder, Emrah Kara, who is honored to be part of this group.
“I am truly happy to see VaultN being acknowledged by the Dutch tech community, and I am grateful to Techleap, Constantijn van Oranje, and Discord for making it happen. At VaultN, we’ve built an entire company around the belief that ‘good enough’ isn’t good enough anymore – we will continue doing so with the backing we have going forward.”
Digital distribution was undermined for years by outdated technology, fragmented processes, and the assumption that complexity was simply the cost of doing business. Too many people accepted inefficient systems because they didn’t think there was another way.
We did.
As Emrah puts it:
“People got comfortable with the idea that distribution had to be complicated. Bad APIs, high-maintenance processes, and services that never really improved became the norm. We chose a different path. We’re a tech team, not a traditional distribution business. We automate what others maintain manually because technology should make things better, not more complex.
Every new company pushing the industry forward is a good thing. Every traditional player realizing they need a better infrastructure tells us we’re moving in the right direction. We’ve already helped change the conversation around digital distribution. Now we’ll keep rebuilding it - transaction by transaction - serving giants and indies with the same quality and commitment.”
Being part of the Gaming Founders Circle isn’t just recognition of what VaultN has built so far. It’s an opportunity to contribute to a broader conversation about where the gaming industry is headed on the European level - and how founders can help shape it together. It’s also why we’re proud members of the Dutch Games Association: we believe in giving back to the local industry that drives this ecosystem forward.
The future of gaming won’t be built in isolation. It will be built through bold ideas, honest conversations, and people willing to challenge the way things have always been done.
We’re looking forward to being part of that journey.
